Golshifteh Farahani is an internationally recognized film star who was able to win several Best Actress awards for her performances in Mim Mesle Madar and Ashk-e Sarma. In that same year, she was able to appear in a 2012 César Award video in the Most Promising Actors category.

When Golshifteh Farahani appeared in the U.S. film “Body of Lies”, the Iranian government authorities prevented her from leaving Iran was reported. But later on, her colleagues denied it and she came to the movie’s American premiere. Then, in January 2012, it was reported that she would not be welcome in her native Iran after posing nude in the French magazine Madame Figaro.
