Who is Jason Winston George?

Jason was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia USA, on 9 February 1972 – his zodiac sign is Aquarius, and he holds American nationality. He’s an actor and film producer, who’s appeared in more than 50 movies and TV series, while he’s perhaps still known best for his debut film appearance portrayal of College Kid, in the critically acclaimed 1998 action crime movie “Fallen”. It was directed by Gregory Hoblit, starred Denzel Washington, John Goodman and Donald Sutherland, and follows the homicide detective John Hobbes who has witnessed the execution of the serial killer Edgar, but the murders have still continued; the movie was nominated for three awards.

Early life and education

Jason was raised in Virginia Beach alongside his brother Jarvis W. George, who has also become an actor, and their older brother, by their father John George and mother Shirley M. George; nothing’s known about Jason’s parents, as he respects their privacy.

Jason became interested in acting while attending a local high school, but was urged by his parents to focus on his education, as they claimed that it was hard to succeed in the film industry; Jason was also into a couple of other activities during those four years, including playing basketball for his school’s team, and running track.

Jason matriculated in 1990, and then enrolled at the University of Virginia, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in both drama and rhetoric and communication studies in 1994; he continued his education at Temple University in Philadelphia, wanting to graduate with a Master of Fine Arts degree and become a lawyer, however, Jason quit to focus on acting, although eventually returning to college and graduating with his MFA degree.

Roles in TV series

Jason made his debut TV series appearance in the popular romantic drama “Sunset Beach”, created by Josh Griffith and Robert Guza Jr., and which starred Lesley-Anne Down, Sam Behrens and Susan Ward.

It follows Tim Truman who has broken up with her fiancé now that she has seen him kissing another woman, and has moved from Kansas to Sunset Beach, California; the series aired from 1997 to 1999, and won five of the 40 awards for which it was nominated.

Jason started off the 2000s with a guest appearance in an episode or two of various series, including the science fiction drama “Roswell”, the sports comedy “Arli$$” and the comedy “Girlfriends”. In 2001, he starred as Scott Littleton in the romantic drama “Titans”, which also starred Casper Van Dien and Yasmine Bleeth, and follows the lives of members of the Williams family, who are involved in various illegal activities. Jason then starred in the 2002 comedy “Off Centre”, appeared in all 66 episodes of the comedy “Eve” between 2003 and 2006, and played Jimmy in 18 episodes of the 2007 romantic comedy “What About Brian”.

In 2011, he portrayed Dr. Otis Cole in the action adventure drama “Off the Map”, created by Jenna Bans, and which starred Jonathan Castellanos, Valerie Cruz and Caroline Dhavernas. It tells the story of three doctors who are seeking a new beginning; the series was nominated for two awards. A couple of Jason’s following roles were his portrayal of supporting characters in the crime comedy drama “Castle”, the mystery comedy drama “Desperate Housewives”, and the crime drama “Against the Wall”.

Since 2018, he’s been starring as Dr. Ben Warren in the popular romantic action drama “Station 19”, created by Stacy McKee, and which also stars Jaina Lee Ortiz and Grey Damon.

The series follows the lives of people employed at Seattle’s Firehouse Station 19, and has won six of the seven awards for which it’s been nominated.

Roles in movies

In 2002, Jason was cast to play Kevin in the comedy drama “Barbershop”, directed by Tim Story, and which starred Ice Cube, Cedric the Entertainer and Eve; it depicts a day in the life of a barber from South Side Chicago, and won one of the 18 awards for which it was nominated.

A couple of Jason’s following roles were in the 2005 romantic fantasy comedy “Bewitched”, the 2006 comedy “You Did What?”, and the 2007 crime thriller “The Box”. He played Kyle Chisolm in the 2009 drama “Inside the Bo”, directed by Mark Tinker, and which starred Nora Bauer, Xander Berkeley and Marsha Clark; the movie follows an ambitious woman who’s working at a network news bureau in Washington, D.C.

Jason portrayed Chip Johnston in the 2012 romantic sports comedy “Playing for Keeps”, and played Sean in the 2015 romantic comedy “With This Ring”.

His most recent film role has been his portrayal of Michael Lewis, one of the main characters in the 2018 war drama “Indivisible”, written and directed by David G. Evans, and which also starred Sarah Drew and Justin Bruening. The movie follows the lives of Army Chaplain Darren Turner and his other half Heather, and won one of the two awards for which it was nominated.

Other credits

Jason has been featured in a number of documentaries, including the 2005 series “I Love the 80’s 3-D”, the 2007 short video “Calling All Friends: The Story of ‘What About Brian’” and the 2016 series “From the Mouths of Babes”.

Jason has produced seven TV Specials – seven Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards – between 2016 and 2022.

Jason has made a guest appearance in numerous talk-shows, such as “Home & Family”, “Conan” and “The Talk”.

Awards and nominations

Jason has been nominated for a single award: a 1999 Daytime Emmy, for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series, for his performance in “Sunset Beach”.

Wife and children

Jason prefers to keep the details of his love life to himself, but has still allowed his fans to have a glimpse into it. Jason met his future wife, the Indian-American poet Vandana Khanna, while they were both attending the University of Virginia, and they exchanged vows on 10 July 1999, in a private ceremony attended by only the closest of their friends and family members.

Jason and Vandana have three children together, but they’re keeping them away from the media’s attention, wanting them to lead normal lives.

Neither of the two have spoken of any other people whom they have perhaps been with, and as of February 2022, Jason’s married to Vanada Khanna, and they have three children together.

Hobbies and other interests

Jason is quite active on Instagram, and apparently enjoys the attention which he’s receiving from his close to two million followers; he’s uploaded more than 1,000 pictures onto the network, most of which feature him during his everyday life.

Jason is an avid dancer – he began taking lessons in his teenage years, and then continued for a decade.

He’s still physically highly active, and has five to six training sessions at the gym every week, thus his muscular body; he also enjoys playing football with his friends, and running. He’s a martial artist too, and has trained multiple styles.

Jason has his own favorite actors and actresses, some of whom are Will Smith, the late Robin Williams and Natalie Portman, while a couple of his favorite films include “Independence Day”, “Good Morning, Vietnam” and “V for Vendetta”.

Age, height and net worth

Jason’s age is 50. He has short black hair and brown eyes, his height is 5ft 10ins (1.8m) and he weighs around 175lbs (80kgs).

As of February 2022, his net worth has been estimated at more than $1.5 million.
