Jax Taylor is putting the brakes on the gossip mill. There’s been talk that he cheated on his wife, Brittany Cartwright, amidst their recent split. But he’s saying, “Hold up, that’s not the case.”
In an exclusive chat with E! News on March 14, he set the record straight. The venue? The premiere party for his and Brittany’s new Bravo series, The Valley. The location? Jax’s Studio City.
“We’re just having a little communication issues right now,” he said. “That’s all, there’s nothing else.” He was adamant that there’s no infidelity. “There’s no cheating. It’s just communication,” he insisted.
He even added, “I know it’s shocking, but people sometimes just don’t get along and that’s life.” A bit of a downer, but hey, it’s honest.
Brittany announced their breakup last month. Since then, Jax admits it’s been “a process” figuring out their new normal. But he and his estranged wife are keeping things civil for their 2-year-old son, Cruz.
“It’s not easy,” the 44-year-old shared. “But it’s not affecting our businesses, not affecting raising our child.” He’s got a point. Just because they can’t live together doesn’t mean they can’t work together.
“Everything is wonderful,” he added. A bit of an unexpected twist, but it’s his story. “We see each other every single day. The only thing that’s different is we just don’t sleep under the same roof. That’s it.”
