Kelly Carlson(Kelly Lee Carlson) is an American actress and model who is mostly known for her role as Kimber Henry in the FX drama series Nip/Tuck. Kelly Carlson got her huge film break when she acted as Kate Triton in the action film titled “The Marine” alongside John Cena.

Early Life

Kelly Carlson was born on the 17th of February, 1976, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. Kelly is 46 years old as of 2022. She was born to Swedish parents Lee Dixon Carlson and Mary Joan. Her father Lee was a high school basketball coach and her mother was a hairdresser. As her father was in the field of sports, she was interested in sports.

When she was 7 years old, she began horse riding. She then became interested in performance arts and later started to focus on becoming an actor. During her teenage years, her family moved to Bloomington and later to Richfield. She completed her high school at the Academy of Holy Angels in Richfield.

After high school, she began acting in theatre. At a young age, Kelly had a well-built toned body physique and she began modeling at 17. Kelly began her career as a model in the show business. She appeared as a model in Maxim Magazine(August 2004) and on the cover of Stuff Magazine(October 2004). She then started doing theatres. Carlson performed in productions of Vanities, Cheaters, Girls Guide to Chaos, Charlotte’s Web, and Can’t Trust the Mate.

In 2001, she made her acting debut with a minor role as a motorcycle gang member in the action-adventure crime film “3000 Miles to Graceland”. In 2003, she was cast as Kimberly Henry in the FX drama series “Nip/Tuck,” which proved to be her breakout role, as she went on to become a series regular and remained in the program until its last season in 2010.

Kelly was cast as an Ada in the drama series “Everwood” in 2004. She has also acted in a number of films such as Paparazzi”(2004), “Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation”(2004), and “Made of Honor”(2008). In 2006, she landed a huge film break playing one of the lead roles as Kate Triton in the action film titled “The Marine” alongside John Cena.

She also made guest appearances on tv series such as “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”(2006), “CSI: Miami”(2007), “Monk”(2009), and “The Finder”(2012). Kelly also made a cameo appearance in “Degrassi Goes Hollywood,” a 2009 Canadian television film. In 2010, she also appeared in “Ghostfacers,” an online spin-off of The CW’s dark fantasy series Supernatural.

Humanitarian

Carlson is also the spokesperson for Smile Network International, a Minnesota-based humanitarian organization. The organization provides reconstructive surgeries and related health care services to impoverished children and young adults in developing countries.

In January 2010, as an enthusiastic equestrian since age seven, she also lobbied for a bill to prevent both inhumane transport of American horses to slaughterhouses in Mexico and Canada as well as roundups of wild horses by government authorities.

Kelly Carlson is a married woman. She is married to Dan Stanchfield. Dan Stanchfield is US Navy. The couple had a private marriage ceremony with their loved ones. They don’t share any children.

\The duo currently lives in  San Diego. They moved from LA to San Diego due to Dan’s work in the Navy. She was previously in a relationship with Tie Domi on June 28, 2015. Carlson was also rumored to have dated Josh Hartnett, an actor, and producer.
