Lukas Gage is hitting back at the gossip surrounding his marital status. His response comes four months after his husband, Chris Appleton, initiated divorce proceedings. Lukas, known for his role in Euphoria, has opened up about the rapid-fire romance and his current state post-split.
In a candid chat with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, Lukas revealed, “I had a manic episode for six months.” He confessed, “I don’t know what went through my head, but we live and we learn.” It’s a raw admission, a peek into the emotional turmoil he’s been through.
The actor and the Color Wow global creative director, Chris, exchanged vows in April last year. This was a short while after they were rumored to be dating. The wedding was a glitzy affair in Las Vegas, with Chris’ friend Kim Kardashian playing the role of the officiant.
However, the marital bliss was short-lived. Chris, in November, sought a divorce from the star of The White Lotus. His reason? “Irreconcilable differences.” It’s a common phrase, but it hides a multitude of complexities.
The 28-year-old actor remained tight-lipped about the exact reasons behind their breakup. He hinted at having signed an NDA, which could explain his silence. But he did clear the air on one point – infidelity. “There was no cheating,” Lukas clarified.
