Who are Mahsa Amini Parents? On September 16, 2022, a 22-year-old Iranian lady Mahsa Amini, died in a hospital in Tehran, Iran, under dubious circumstances.

The Guidance Patrol, Iran’s religious morality police, detained Amini for reportedly not wearing the hijab according to government regulations.

According to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Law Enforcement Command, she suffered a heart attack at a police station, fainted, and went into a coma before being taken to a hospital.

However, eyewitnesses, including women jailed with Amini, said she was severely assaulted and killed due to police violence, which the Iranian authorities denied.

Some commentators believed Amini had a brain hemorrhage or stroke due to head injuries sustained after her detention, based on allegations of police violence and leaked medical scans.

Amini’s killing sparked a wave of demonstrations reported by CNN as more significant than those in 2009, 2017, and 2019 and by The New York Times as the greatest in Iran since at least 2009.

Mahsa Amini Parents: Father Amjad Amini And Mother Mojgan Eftekhari

Talking about Mahsa Amini Parents, her Father’s name is Amjad Amini, and her Mother is Mojgan Eftekhari.

The family of Mahsa Amini has accused Iran’s security forces of vandalizing her grave after she died in police custody in September 2022.

This case sparked nationwide protests that have become one of the challenges to the Islamic Republic’s leadership since it came to power in 1979.

Saleh Nikbakht, the Amini family’s attorney, informed the media that on May 21, “individuals known for such heinous actions in the past attacked and destroyed Mahsa Amini’s tomb.”

He then displayed photographs of the ruined cemetery, which he had received from Amini’s parents.

He said that Amini’s Father stated that officials had thwarted the erection of a protective cover over the grave by threatening a welder with the closure of his business if he completed the work.

He did not, however, present any proof that tied any security officers to the damage.

Amini’s mother, Mojgan Eftekhari, had alerted the public to the vandalism of her daughter’s tomb and expressed her displeasure with officials’ closing of the cemetery’s entry and departure.

Death Of Mahsa Amini

Amini had traveled to Tehran to see her brother. On September 13, 2022, she was apprehended by the Guidance Patrol at the Tehran entrance to the Shahid Haghani Expressway while accompanied by her family.

She was then placed in Moral Security’s custody. Mahsa’s brother, who was with her when she was detained, was informed she would be sent to a detention center saying a “briefing class” before being released an hour later.

Her brother was then notified that his sister had suffered a heart attack and a seizure at the police station where Mahsa was taken. She was brought to Kasra Hospital two hours after her arrest.

According to Amini’s cousin, she was mistreated and ridiculed in the vehicle, which her co-detainees observed.

She began to lose her eyesight and fell shortly after arriving at the police station. The ambulance arrived in 30 minutes, and she arrived at Kasra Hospital in an hour and a half.

Mahsa was in a coma at Kasra Hospital in Tehran for two days.

On September 16, journalist Niloofar Hamedi broke the story of Amini’s coma by tweeting a photo of Amini’s Father and grandmother sobbing and hugging in the hospital corridor.

Later that day, Amini died in the intensive care unit. According to Saleh Nikbakht, the Amini family’s lawyer, “respectable doctors” think Mahsa was struck while in jail.

Nikbakht also stated that the family wants a fact-finding commission to investigate her death and that police footage from her arrest should be turned over.

By October 2, Amini’s family had admitted that she had had surgery at eight for a minor neurological issue.

However, it had been controlled with levothyroxine, and her physicians had just given her the all-clear. The family said the disease was unrelated to Amini’s death, citing medical doctors they had contacted.
