Matthew Kenneth Frevola, excellently known as Matt Frevola is an American professional mixed martial artist. He is currently competing in the Lightweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He is a professional competitor since 2014 and has also competed in the World Series of Fighting and Titan FC. Matt started competing in sports from a young age as he played football, lacrosse, wrestling, and baseball. He was also selected to compete in Dana White’s Contender Series 8 on 29th August 2017. He defeated 7-0, Jose Flores, via second-round submission and was awarded a UFC contract. • Matt was set to face Frank Camacho on 20th June 2020, at UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Volkov, however, on 18th June it was revealed that he was pulled from the bout after one of his cornermen tested positive for COVID-19.
• On 12th September 2020, a bout with Roosevelt Roberts was rescheduled for UFC Fight Night 177 however, he pulled out of the bout against Roberts on 11th September 2020, citing an injury.
• Also, he was again scheduled to face Frank Camacho on 12th June 2021, at UFC 263. But, Camacho pulled out of the fight during the week leading up to the event and Frevola faced promotional newcomer Terrance McKinney instead. He lost the fight via knockout 7 seconds into the first round.
• On 22nd January 2022, he faced Genaro Valdez and won the fight via technical knockout in round one after knocking down Valdez multiple times.
• Matt recently won the fight against Ottman Azaitar which was rescheduled for 12th November 2022 at UFC 281.
