On July 4, 1990, Melissa Barrera Martinez was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexican. As of now, she is just 31 years old and her sun sign is Cancer, and holds Mexican nationality. She was born to his father named Tomas Barrera and her mother named Rossana Martinez. Regarding her education, she went to New York University Tish School of the Arts. Melissa Barrera attended the American School Foundation of Monterrey. Thus, she appeared in the school’s musical productions including MUN’s Voices, Grease, Aida, and Footloose. Likewise, in 2011, her television debut was on the Mexican reality show La Academia. During that time, she showed off her talent for singing. Moreover, she was part of the duet Melissa y Sebastian, in 2013. She recorded her first album and had her first top ten radio hit with their debut single “Mamma Maria”, with her.

Besides that, she recorded the theme song “Volver a caer” alongside the Mexican singer Kalimba, in 2015. And, it was for her telenovela, Tanto Amor. She participated in the film L for Leisure, during her college days in 2010. In addition, she participated in telenovela, La Mujer de Judas, in 2012. And, in the same years, she has seen in another telenovela La Otra cara del alma. Melissa Barrera is already happily married to her husband named Paco Zazueta. Her husband Paco is a musical artist. In February 2019, the couple was officially married and tied the wedding knot. In 2011, the couple first met on the sets of the reality show La Academia. Thus, they started dating in the same year and they do not have any children together as of now.
