He won the fight via knockout, earning the Performance of the Night award. 
• He then defeated Maurice Greene at UFC Fight Night 162 via knockout in the first round. He then pulled out of his bout against Ciryl Gane in August 2020 due to an injury. He pulled out of the fight against Tom Aspinall at UFC Fight Night 191 in September 2021 due to visa issues. His bout against Tanner Boser at UFC on ESPN 31 was scrapped once again due to travel issues. 
• He earned the second Performance of the Night honor of his UFC career at UFC Fight Night 204 when he defeated Shamil Abdurakhimov via TKO in the first round. He defeated Derrick Lewis at UFC 277 via TKO under a minute into the first round in July 2022. However, the result dragged controversy as the stoppage by the referee was considered premature by fighters and fans.
