Sikandar Raza is a very famous cricketer from Zimbabwe. Sikandar Raza has been one of the global names in the T20 cricket franchise having been played by different clubs to date. While the player has made records like being the youngest person to hit a fifty in T20I at the age of 17 years old.

Early Life

Sikandar Raza was born on 24^th April 1986, in Sialkot, Pakistan. This makes him 36 years old as of 2022. His full name is Sikandar Raza Butt. There is not much information regarding the name and profession of his parents, and siblings.

While he holds an American nationality and practices the Islami religion. Further, he belongs to mixed ethnicity. According to astrology, he has Taurus as his zodiac sign.

Talking about his formal educational status, he completed his schooling at a local school.  While he also went to Pakistan Air Force Public school Lower Topa and aspired to become the Pakistan Air Force. And, he also accomplished his higher studies at Glasgow Caledonian university.

Career-wise Sikandar Raza is a professional cricketer. He has been fascinated with cricket and other sports from a very early age. And later he went on to have a career in cricket.

Initially, after completing the course in the air force, he wanted to be in the Pakistan Air Force, later he could not join due to failed vision test that was very mandatory for selection in the Pakistan airforce at the time.

It was later he realized his potential in cricket after migrating to Zimbabwe with his family. Talking About his domestic and T20 franchise career, he went on to play first-class cricket for Mashonaland Eagles. He also played List A cricket for Northern making his debut in 2007. While he also made his Twenty20 debut for Southern Rocks in 2010 against Vipers.

Moreover, he also played other games in the competitions like Metbank Pro40 Championship Final in 2010, Stanbic Bank T20 Competition. In addition to his T20 ventures, he also played for Montreal Tigers in the players’ draft for the inaugural edition of the Global T20 Canada tournament, the Mzansi Super League T20 tournament.

Moreover, he also played Bangladesh Premier League in 2018/19 for the Chittagong Vikings team and played for Amsterdam Knights in the Euro T20 Slam cricket tournament. Furthermore, he played for the Trinbago Knight Riders squad in Caribbean Premier League in 2020, and for Southern Rocks in the Logan Cup from 2020-21.

Other than professional matches, he played his international matches for Zimbabwe in May 2013 making his ODI debut against Bangladesh. He became the 116^th player to appear in Zimbabwe in the format. While he also made his debut in T20 on 11 May 2013 which was also against Bangladesh.

The right-handed batsman has been playing consistently for Zimbabwe since then and has been one of the permanent players on the team. His career-best number in T20 is 59, and his career-best in the ODI is 141.
