Taylor Hawkins passed away on 25th March 2022. He dies at 50. His death was announced by the Foo Fighters. Whereas no cause of death was given. According to a statement by local health authorities, a call for emergency services was made because Hawkins was suffering from chest pain, while in his hotel room at the Casa Medina hotel. Health personnel who attended the scene performed CPR. Hawkins did not respond to CPR and was declared dead. Colombian authorities said on March 26 that Hawkins had ten substances in his system when he was found dead, including opioids, benzodiazepines, tricyclic antidepressants, and THC, the psychoactive compound in cannabis. The festival stage, which the Foo Fighters were to perform that night was turned into a candlelight vigil for Hawkins.
