Although it’s not quite Groundhog Day, you’ve probably heard this stuff before. Tom Brady, the NFL’s starting quarterback, announced his retirement from the league in a video that was uploaded to social media on Wednesday morning.


On February 1, the same day he announced his retirement from the NFL in 2022, Tom Brady, 45, gave the message.

“I’m retiring. For good,” Brady said in his new farewell message. He thanked his fans — and acknowledged the uproar over earlier announcements regarding his plans.

I won’t be wordy, Brady promised. One extremely emotional retirement essay is allotted, and I used mine up last year.

In a statement to his loved ones, friends, coworkers, and rivals, Brady continued, “I appreciate you guys letting me live my wildest dream. There is nothing I would change.”

Brady set a number of prestigious records during his stellar 23-year career with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has the most Super Bowl victories (seven), passing yards (649), and passing touchdowns (649). (89,214).

Brady’s last year’s retirement, which he un-retired after 40 days, amounted to him giving up professional football for Lent. Brady’s most recent announcement, however, comes after his Buccaneers finished the regular season with an 8-9 record. Despite being eliminated in the first round of the wild card playoffs by the Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay still won the NFC South division.

Brady must have noticed that in this year’s playoffs, the four quarterbacks who led their teams to the NFL’s conference championships are all in their 20s: Philadelphia’s Jalen Hurts (24), Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow (26), San Francisco’s Brock Purdy (24), and Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes (27). (23).
