As a wildcard, Draper made his ATP Tour main draw debut in singles competition at the Miami Open. However, he was forced to withdraw from his match against Mikhail Kukushkin in the first round after passing out on the court due to heat exhaustion.

Draper won his most significant victory of his career in a wildcard match against world No. 23 Jannik Sinner at the Queen’s Club Championships in June. For the first time in his career, he defeated world No. 39 Alexander Bublik in the round of 16 to advance to the ATP quarterfinals, where he was defeated by eventual champion Cameron Norrie.

Making it to this championship stage earned him his top 250 debuts in the ATP rankings, making him the youngest British ATP quarterfinalist since Andy Murray in 2006. He received a wildcard to the singles main event at the Wimbledon Championships. He squared off against defending champion Novak Djokovic in the first round, winning three sets after winning the first set 6-4.
