Mathias Lauda is a well-known Austrian racing driver who competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship as a factory driver for Aston Martin Racing. Mathias was born during his father’s brief absence from Formula One.

Unlike most drivers who begin in karting, Lauda made his Formula Nissan 2000 debut in 2002. He also drove in two German Formula VW races and one Spanish Formula Three race.

In 2003, he joined the Vergani team in the World Series Lights, and in 2004, he joined the Euro Formula 3000 Series. Later that year, he competed in Formula 3000, finishing the season with the Coloni Motorsport team.
