Alison Hammond’s son Aidan, 19, shares hilarious video of himself ‘high as a kite’ as he slurs his words while coming round from anaesthesic after having his tonsils removed

Alison Hammond‘s son Aidan joked he was ‘high as a kite’ following surgery to have his tonsils removed.

The TV presenter, 49, and her son, 19, both shared a hilarious video of Aidan slurring his words shortly after undergoing the surgery.

Sitting in his hospital bed, Aidan spoke to his mother who was filming him, saying: ‘I got my tonsils out, feeling good. 

Slurring his words slightly, he added: ‘Don’t know what all the fuss is about really, it’s fine, it’s fine.’

Alison could then be heard saying: ‘Have a lick of ice-cream,’ before Aidan replied: ‘I’m not allowed, shh.’

Aidan captioned the video, Aidan wrote: ‘Aidan 1 – tonsils 0 and Me high as a [kite]’. 

This Morning star Alison commented on the post with: ‘My poor baby’.

Several of the star’s friends also reacted to the clip including Amy Childs who wrote: So funny. Get well soon Aidan xx’. 

Fellow This Morning regular Josie Gibson responded with a series of laughing emojis while Vanessa Feltz added: ‘Oh poor fellow. Wish him better very soon xx’. 

Frankie Bridge said the clip was ‘amazing’ while Good Morning Britain’s Alex Beresford wrote: ‘Yup 2 weeks of pain and a show with at least 10 seasons. Not sure Poldark is :aidanhammond555 thing but it got me through’. 

Aidan is following in his mother’s showbiz footsteps as he announced he has secured a huge new job. 

The 19-year-old, who is Alison’s only child who she shares with her with ex husband Noureddine Boufaied, took to Instagram on Tuesday, to share the exciting news that he will be playing at his first ever festival as a DJ this summer.

Overjoyed at the news, Aidan shared a snap of him behind the decks, as he wrote: ‘I AM PLAYING AT MY FIRST EVER FESTIVAL @campbestival.

Aidan captioned the video, Aidan wrote: ‘Aidan 1 – tonsils 0 and Me high as a [kite]’

Aidan is following in his mother’s showbiz footsteps as he recently landed a gig as a DJ 

‘I will be playing on Saturday 27th of July in the Bollywood tent from 7-8pm so if you like house music get your tickets and come see me play big thanks to @campbestival.’

Aidan has a keen passion for music, after his mum proudly watched on as her son took to the DJ decks at a gig last November. 

She shared a video of Aidan having the time of his life as he danced energetically while playing a remix of That’s the Way (I Like It).

And Alison was every inch the proud mother as she stood beside the DJ decks and filmed as Aidan performed at an event.

Alongside the video, she gushed: ‘Love my Son ! That little smile to the camera gets me every time.’

It seems Aidan is keen to pursue a career in music, not a million miles from his mother’s successful career in television.
