At the end of season 5, Kevin Wendt ended his relationship with Astrid Loch, leaving her shocked and heartbroken. However, he reached out immediately when he arrived home in Canada and told her he regretted it. Since then, the two have continued to work on their relationship. And in December 2018, the Germany native moved from Florida to Toronto to live with the former Bachelor Winter Games star.
A little more than a year after they first met in Mexico, Kevin popped the question on August 28, 2019.
“I could have sworn the world stood still in this moment. A moment I’ll never forget. Just you + me,” Astrid captioned a photo from the proposal via Instagram. “@kevin.c.wendt you’ve taught me to love, learn and grow and I can’t believe you’ve chosen me to spend this crazy life with. Wonder if I’ll ever stop smiling? Probably not. In this together, forever. ♥️”
In May 2021, she announced she is pregnant with their first child, prompting them to postpone their nuptials. The couple welcomed their son, August, in November of that year. In February 2023, they announced they’re expecting their second child. Their second baby, son Nash, arrived in October 2023.
