She isn’t often lost for words, Rita Ora was momentarily flummoxed on Sunday after forgetting the lyrics to one of her songs while performing at Mighty Hoopla in London’s Brockwell Park.
The singer, 33, confused the words to hit single Anywhere with another track from her back catalogue as she interacted with fans at the event.
Searching for someone to sing the track acapella, Rita walked in front of the stage barrier while asking revellers if they knew the lyrics before handing the microphone to an eager fan, who blurted: ‘I love you Rita!’
The moment appeared to flummox the star, who promptly charged into the lyrics to a completely different track – the Avicii collaboration Lonely Together – after retrieving the mic, before realising her blunder.
‘Oh that’s the wrong song!’ she admitted while regaining her composure.

The singer previously told ES Magazine that her friends were concerned they missed her big day, after she and Taika opted to have just eight guests in attendance for their intimate ceremony.
She said at the time: ‘I’ve been in the public eye for a while now and I’ve always given everything I’m part of to the public. It felt nice to have something that was a secret for a bit.
‘A lot of my friends were like ”Oh my God, we’ve missed it’.” I just told them that we will figure something out. It felt chill – because my life is not chill.’
She told The Sun in June: ‘What works is a genuine connection and a real sense of friendship. Communication is key.
‘Our schedules are crazy busy so it’s just important to talk and that’s what has been working for us.’
The Thor director, 48, has found time to appear in Rita’s new music video Ask & You Shall Receive.
Rita insisted that his brief cameo as an employee in the video, in which she stripped down in a launderette, was not planned.
She recalled: ‘[Taika] was just hanging out with me and I said, ‘Come on, let’s put you to work, you might as well do a cameo’. It was really cute, not planned.’
Rita put on a very leggy display in leather hot pants and crop top which she teamed with towering platforms and outlandish eye make-up for the video.
Speaking about the latest release Rita said: ‘The song is full of upbeat, summery vibes and is about seizing the moment romantically, and diving straight in with that special someone’.
‘It was co-written by the amazing Raye, which feels like such a full circle moment, as I have so many amazing memories from when we were on the road together for the Phoenix tour.’
As well as new music, Rita has returned to acting and will appear in Disney’s Descendant’s The Rise Of Red.
