Gok has previously been open about how his dog Dolly has helped him beat his OCD illness which he has struggled with from childhood.
In an interview with the Mirror’s 3am, Gok told of how Dolly leaving hair everywhere, has become a surprisingly important part of his life.
He admitted: ‘I could never have done it years ago, it just wouldn’t have been an option.’
‘I suffered quite severely with it [OCD] when I was younger. Hygiene was a massive problem. It was difficult to have people round because of causing mess, sitting on the sofa and stuff like that.’

Thanks to Dolly, Gok learned to relax: ‘I’ve reduced my working hours during the day, and now I don’t feel like I’m letting anyone down if I don’t work as many hours as I possibly can.
Gok shot to fame as host of 2006 reality show How To Look Good Naked, which in 2019 was announced to be returning.
His last television gig came in 2021 when he hosted Bling, an ITV show where Gok and fellow experts helped members of the public find, create, sell or upcycle their dream jewellery items.
