Melissa Mathison’s Will Went Missing Following Her Passing
Harrison Ford and Melissa Mathison agreed on a settlement back in 2004. They went their own ways after 21 years of marriage. Mathison walked away with $85 million from the divorce. At the time, it was the most expensive divorce in Hollywood history.
Sadly, the former E.T. screenwriter passed away at the age of 65 back in November of 2015. Mathison still had a massive chunk of that net worth, valued to be at $22 million. However, at the time, the will left more questions than answers given that it went missing, leaving her massive fortune on the line.
TMZ wrote back in 2015, “The court docs show Melissa is worth $22 million. Her fortune is all in a trust, but the document was not included in the legal papers so we don’t know who’s supposed to get it. She had 2 kids so it’s a good assumption they’ll get at least part of it. So now the question … what happens if the original will is never found? In California, as long as no one’s fighting over her estate, a copy will do just fine.”

Melissa Mathison Had A Project With Steve Spielberg In The Works At The Time Of Her Passing
Melissa Mathison had a lengthy run in Hollywood that included gigs as a writer, along with screenplay contributions. Her most memorable work came in 1982 as a writer on E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. She had other notable projects, including Kundun in 1997.
Just prior to her passing, Mathison was working on another important project alongside Steve Spielberg, The Big Friendly Giant. It was a massive production for children, but ultimately got mixed reviews from critics.
Given their connection throughout the years, Spielberg was among the many to issue a tribute to Mathison following her passing due to cancer.
“Melissa had a heart that shined with generosity and love and burned as bright as the heart she gave E.T.” Steven Spielberg said in a statement alongside PEOPLE.

Calista Flockhart Says Harrison Ford Supports Her In Many Different Ways
Six years after his divorce, Harrison Ford married for a third time, tying the knot with Calista Flockhart. The two married in 2010. At the age of 81, it seems like Ford is very content with the relationship.
In an exclusive interview with People, Flockhart said Ford supports her in so many ways. “He supports me a lot. It’s a mutual thing.”
Ford also said in the past that he instantly fell in love with Flockhart.
“I’m in love. Romantic love is one of the most exciting and fulfilling kinds of love and I think there is a potential for it at any stage of your life. I was not surprised that I was able to fall in love, and I wasn’t surprised that I did.”
However, Ford did admit he had to change his “language” around his wife, who gave him a hard time over it.
“My wife is still giving me s— about that Hollywood Reporter thing, and I’m trying not to say that too much. Me and the writer were sitting on folding chairs in a horse stall. It didn’t feel like a formal enough atmosphere to have to clean up my language,” he added to Esquire. “And they printed every single f—.”
Nobody’s perfect, not even Harrison.
