Facebook users have flooded X (formerly known as Twitter) with complaints that their Android’s back button is not working on the app.
Many Facebook app users who have Android phones ran into a major issue on the morning of November 6. As they tried to use the social networking app on their phones, they realized that the back button had stopped working for them.
Android back buttons have stopped working on Facebook
Several users pointed out that the back button was simply not working while using the Facebook app. However, a few noted that the problem occurred after they updated the social networking app to its v439 version.
Many people across the world have run into this problem. Some pointed out how they had tried certain fixes like restarting the phone and uninstalling the app, but it still did not improve.
Some even pointed out how, after the back button on their Android was disabled, they were forced to use the back button on the top left corner of the app itself. One user went as far as to call it “grotesquely unintuitive.” At the time of writing, Facebook has not responded to any of the complaints on Twitter.
