Jack Champion, Sophia Lillis, Kate del Castillo, Tony Dalton, Whitney Peak and Bobby Cannavale have joined Dave Bautista in the action thriller Trap House.

The new action film follows an undercover DEA agent and his partner in El Paso, Texas, on a game of cat and mouse with a group of thieves who just happen to be their rebellious teenagers robbing from a dangerous cartel and using their parents’ tactics and top-secret intel to succeed.

Inde Navarrette, Zaire Adams and Blu del Barrio also board the indie now in production as Bautista reteams with Final Score producer Signature Films, an arm of U.K. indie distributor Signature Entertainment.

Trap House is directed by Michael Dowse from a script by Fast & Furious creator Gary Scott Thompson and Tom O’Connor (Hitman’s Bodyguard). Montreal-based Dowse also directed FUBAR, It’s All Gone Pete Tong, Take Me Home Tonight starring Chris Pratt and Anna Faris, and Goon starring Seann William Scott, Jay Baruchel and Liev Schreiber.

Trap House, also from Scott Free Productions, is produced by Marc Goldberg, Sarah Gabriel, Michael Pruss and Rebecca Feuer. Ridley Scott is executive producing, along with Bautista, Jonathan Meisner and Todd Lundbohm.

The feature is financed by Capstone Studios, U.K. indie distributor Signature Entertainment, Creativity Media, Koala and Ashland Hill Finance.

Bautista’s production banner Dogbone and Signature developed Trap House after working together on Final Score, which starred Bautista and Pierce Brosnan. Signature Films also produced the Haley Bennett and Marisa Abela romantic tale She Is Love, and the Toni Collette and Anna Faris comedy The Estate.
