Dunbar, who played Michael Grant, was fired from the series in 2021 over the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. One year later, he filed a lawsuit against Disney and Fox for his dismissal, claiming he was “denied medical and religious exemptions and faced racial discrimination.” In March 2024, a federal judge ruled that Dunbar’s case can proceed to trial.
