Nigel Farage has blasted private equity firm Charterhouse for giving former NatWest boss Alison Rose a job after she was forced to leave her post over the debanking scandal.

‘These people look after their own,’ said the Reform party leader to Financial News.

Rose was hired by Charterhouse as a senior adviser. 

She was forced to step down from NatWest following a row over the closure of Farage’s account with Coutts, the private bank run by NatWest.

Rose resigned in July last year after she admitted being the source of an inaccurate story about Farage’s finances after a discussion with a BBC journalist. 

She was cleared of misconduct by NatWest.

Charterhouse declined to comment.
