Sara Cox is well know in the entertainment industry all thanks to her successful TV and radio career.

Over the years she has built an army of loyal fans. She landed her first TV role in 1996 on The Girlie Show after appearing in the OMD music video for Everyday.

She later went on the join BBC Radio One alongside co-star Emma Boughton. During her time she grew the audience to 7.8 million listeners. Sara now hosts the plum afternoon drivetime spot on Radio 2 from 4pm on weekdays.

The star is set to appear on Stand Up 2 Cancer’s Great Celebrity Bake Off tonight. The show sees a new group of famous faces each week as they take on different baking challenges in the iconic tent.

Sara will be competing alongside Heartstopper star Joe Locke the Rev Richard Coles and comedian Adam Hills.

Is Sara Cox married and does she have children?

Sara is married to advertising executive Ben Cyzer. The couple have been together for over 15 years. The two met in 2006 and had been dating for seven years before tying the knot.

At the time Ben was working as the head of account management at advertising agency Fallon London and Sara was working at BBC Radio 1.

Ben is currently the managing partner and strategy director for MPC, leading film and production company. Together they have three children, Renee, Lola and Isaac.

Sara was previously married to DJ Jon Carter. The pair dated for a year before tying the knot in 2001. After four years together they decided to split. The former couple have one child together.

Stalking horror

Back 2017 Sara was sadly being stalked by a convicted paedophile who sent her ‘distressing’ letters calling her ‘sexy’.

The perpetrator, Anthony Collins, bombarded the BBC star at her family home by sending her letters after buying her address online for £17, OK reports.

When police arrested him they found a fake BBC visitor’s pass, the work address of Miss Cox’s sister, and indecent images of girls aged four to 15. He was later jailed for 16 months.
