How to Stream Amazon Music on Google Chromecast using Android Mobiles/Tablets
By default, the Amazon Music app on Android has support to cast content through Google Chromecast. You just need to connect your Android and Chromecast to the same Wi-Fi network. Once connected, follow these steps:
Step1: Open the Amazon Music app from the Google Play Store on your Android device.
Step2: Sign in with your Amazon account login credentials.
Step3: Select and play the song or album you want to cast.
Step4: Tap the Cast icon located below the playback controls.
Step5: Select your Chromecast device.
Step6: The song will stream on the TV where your Chromecast is connected.
Step7: To stop casting, click the same Cast icon.
Step8: Select Disconnect to stop the connection.
NOTE: Currently, the iOS version of the Amazon Music app doesn’t support casting through Chromecast. It only supports casting songs to Apple TV through Airplay.
How to Cast Amazon Music to Chromecast TV using a PC
In addition to the native app on Android and iOS devices, Amazon Music can also be streamed using the web browser. With the help of the Chrome browser, you can cast it from Windows or macOS devices.
Step1: Connect your PC and Chromecast to the same Wi-Fi connection.
Step2: Log in with your Amazon account credentials.
Step3: Search and play the track that you want to cast.
Step4: Right-click anywhere on the screen and click the Cast icon.
Step5: Select your Chromecast device.
Step6: Tap the device name to enable the connection.
Step7: That’s it. The selected song will be cast on the TV.
Step8: To disconnect the connection, click the Cast icon and then select your device.
There is a dedicated Amazon Music App available for both Windows and Mac platforms. You can download it from here. We have tried the app to cast it through Chromecast. However, we couldn’t find the Cast icon on the App. Hence, using the Chrome browser is the only way to cast Amazon prime music through Windows and Mac.
