It’s fairly common knowledge at this point that the Premier League is, by quite a distance, the best league in the world.

The league is home to the European champions, teams who can spend a combined £1.5bn on new players this summer, the best manager possibly of all time (Pep Guardiola), and – perhaps most importantly – the best footballers in the world.

Ahead of the 2023/24 season we at 90min thought we’d have a crack at predicting who the top 90 players will be in the Premier League next season.

Here’s the rankings from 10-1:

Top goalkeeperTop goalkeeper

Club: Liverpool
Position: Goalkeeper

So when do we start calling Alisson Becker one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time?

Surely it has to be soon, the Liverpool number one has been truly mind-bogglingly brilliant since he arrived at Anfield.

Club: Manchester United
Position: Midfielder

Named the new Manchester United captain this summer, Bruno Fernandes is certainly deserving of the role.

The midfielder is a leader in the heart of the Red Devils team and is also one of the better footballers in the Premier League.

Club: Arsenal
Position: Midfielder

From one captain to another, Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard has become one of the very best around since working under Mikel Arteta.

Expect him to improve upon the very impressive 15 goals and seven assists he racked up in the Premier League last season.

Star boyStar boy

Club: Arsenal
Position: Wide forward

The ‘Star Boy’ is amazingly still only 21.

Bukayo Saka has been one of the most effective forwards in the Premier League ever since he broke through at Arsenal, and he’ll continue to be that in the 2023/24 season.

Rashford was brilliant last seasonRashford was brilliant last season

Club: Manchester United
Position: Wide forward

Very few footballers in the world enjoyed a similar uptick in fortunes to Marcus Rashford last year.

The forward went from scoring a career low number of goals in 2021/22 to a career high number in 2023/24. He’ll be aiming for another personal best under Erik ten Hag this season.

Salah will continue to be Liverpool's main manSalah will continue to be Liverpool's main man

Salah will continue to be Liverpool’s main man / Matthias Hangst / Staff

Club: Liverpool
Position: Wide forward

The best way to describe just how good Mohamed Salah is is by writing the following: ‘Salah scored 19 goals and bagged 12 assists in the Premier League during 2022/23 in what was considered a down year for the Egyptian’.

He’s a remarkable footballer.

Champions League final heroChampions League final hero

Club: Manchester City
Position: Midfielder

The hero of the UEFA Champions League final scored some seriously important goals for Man City in recent seasons, but the reason he’s so high up on this list is everything else he does.

Rodri makes Man City, the best football team in the world, tick.

It takes quite the footballer to play that role.

Club: Tottenham Hotspur
Position: Forward

90min understands that Tottenham Hotspur have accepted a bid from Bayern Munich for Harry Kane.

That, more than likely, means that Kane will not be at Spurs or in the Premier League next season.

However, out of respect for just how bloody brilliant he is and on the off-chance he does decided to rebuke Bayern’s interest, he’s third on this list.

If he stays, he’ll be a PFA Player of the Year candidate once again.

Club: Manchester City
Position: Midfielder

There’s a genuine argument to be made that Kevin De Bruyne is the best midfielder in Premier League history.

The two-time PFA Player of the Year is a generational talent and, to be honest, the only reason he’s not top of this list is the likelihood of him missing time through injury in the upcoming season – which is highly likely.

The prolific goalscorerThe prolific goalscorer

Club: Manchester City
Position: Forward

In his first season with Manchester City, Erling Haaland won the treble and broke the single season scoring record in the Premier League.

In his first season.

We’re fully backing him to break his own record during the 2023/24 campaign, and then break that record during the 2024/25 campaign, and then break that record during the 2025/26 campaign etc.
