The earnings of UFC fighters between the years 2010 and 2017 have been publicly exposed through an unfair business practices lawsuit initiated by three former fighters of the promotion in 2014, which last August acquired the character of a class action lawsuit.
The web portal Bloody Elbow has had access to a series of declassified documents after a Court of Appeals denied the UFC’s appeal in this case, and in these documents the company makes public the bags that the fighters received in their fights during the aforementioned period.
According to the data provided by UFC to this process, Conor McGregor has only pocketed $12.4 million if we add his rematch against Nate Diaz and the fight against Eddie Alvarez, when prestigious economic publications gave The Notorious some emoluments paid by UFC of $27 million that year. It is true that McGregor better exploited his contractual pull with the company chaired by Dana White in his subsequent returns.
The lawsuit documents also report the salaries of other stars such as Anderson Silva, who earned $27.3 million for his nine fights between 2011 and 2016.
