A lorry fire has shut two lanes on A1M on Saturday morning. The major road network for vehicles heading northbound has been blocked following the major incident near Junction 51 at Leeming Bar and Bedale and Junction 52 for Catterick.

Traffic scanners say early morning traffic is coping well – but that could all change with two lanes shut as people head out on their weekend commute.

INRIX says: “Two lanes closed due to earlier lorry fire on A1(M) Northbound between J51 A684 (Leeming Bar / Bedale ) and J52 A6055 (Catterick). Traffic is coping well.”
