The Suns got the ball to their goal square with a minute to go but the Saints found a way to get it out.

The Saints have got up in a horrible game.

Ross Lyon’s men have the four points but did anyone really win in such a cynical, eye-sore of a game?

An umpire has called Mac Andrew for holding Max King while the two players were grappling with each other off the ball.

The video shows they were both holding each other, while 25m from goal.

King converted the goal and the Saints are back in front.

“He’s doing it to me,” Andrew exclaimed to the umpire.

It looked a grossly unfair decision given how close this game is.

Saints 51, Suns 48 with two mins to go.

Anthony Caminiti was on the goal line and got hands to the ball before it could cross the line for another Suns goal.

The lead is still only three points because of it.

Suns 48, Saints 45 with five mins to go.

Touk Miller finally found space to sprint away from the ball-up with the footy and he did it in the forward line snapping the go-ahead goal for the Suns.

They have their first lead of the night with just seven minutes remaining.

Suns 47, Saints 45 with seven mins to go.

Suns utility Will Graham has made a potentially game saving tackle in the Saints forward line as he tackled Bradley Hill before he could kick for goal.

Hill was connected in the head by Nick Holman’s knee as he came over to support Graham, it was a complete accident.

Hill has jogged off with support of the trainers. Not sure if we will see him again tonight.

King has kicked another goal for the Suns and they are now within three points.

King took a strong mark in the square and just had to chip home the major. He has two of them tonight.

The Saints need to find something more.

Saints 44, Suns 41 with 13 mins to go.

That was a much better quarter.

The standard isn’t anything to write home about but both sides sensed the urgency and lifted their intensity accordingly.

The Suns have turned this game into an arm wrestle, whereas in the first half it was on St Kilda’s terms. Their lift came from Matt Rowell, who got busier with six disposals and a goal.

The duel between Marcus Windhager and Touk Miller is intriguing. Windhager has held Miller to just nine possessions.

Miller can’t get any separation from his opponent. Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera is the player to watch in the last quarter. The more ball he gets, the better the Saints look.

For the Suns, watch for Rowell.

The Saints are hanging onto the lead but the Suns are starting to find some life and win more contests.

It will be telling in this last quarter whether they can find a way to play their fast-paced style or whether they continue to let St Kilda dictate the tempo.

Matt Rowell has not had the best night but he has bounced up with a key goal for his side winning it in the forward line and snapping truly from open play.

He has followed the ball from the centre bounce and ended up in position to score.
