While fans blame the discreet performance of tight end Travis Kelce against the Miami Dolphins on Taylor Swift’s absence, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has a more sporting explanation for the matter.
After averaging more than 100 yards in the four games Swift has attended, Kelce went largely unnoticed at Deutsche Bank Park, catching just three passes for 14 yards. On average, Kelce only adds a little more than 40 yards without his girlfriend in the box, according to analysts.
The Chiefs won 21-14, nevertheless, the trolls wasted no time chaining these factors to make fun of the tight end. However, Reid immediately came to his player’s aid, giving the Dolphins defense credit for its good work on Kelce.
“They were aware of him,”Reid said at the postgame news conference. He said his offense tries to get Kelce as early as possible in each game, but this time “There wasn’t a lot of room out there for him, breaking in or out.”

Reid also admits his share of the blame
The good work of Miami’s defense was limited to Kelce alone, as quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed passes with eight other players, starting with Noah Gray, who caught three passes for 34 yards, and Skyy Moore had two receptions for 33.
In this regard, Reid accepted some of the responsibility for Kelce’s low productivity, saying: “I didn’t give him the ball enough.”
Travis himself considers that his good performances in Taylor’s presence are the result of chance. “I think it’s pretty much a coincidence. I’ve had some pretty big games in my career. So yeah, I think it’s a bit of a coincidence for sure,” he said.

The singer has been present at four of her boyfriend’s nine games this season: against the Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium, the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, and the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.
Since their affair was announced in early October, Taylor has missed the games against the Broncos at Mile High and against the Dolphins at Deutsche Bank, and everything points at the singer missing quite a few more in the coming months.
Swift’s“Eras Tour” will start its international leg on November 9 with three concerts in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a series of six performances in Brazil will begin on November 17.
The tour is scheduled to conclude on December 8 in Vancouver, Canada, so the performer will have a full schedule for at least another year, which has Chiefs fans worried and trolls rubbing their hands.
