Former NFL wide-receiver Antonio Brown allegedly threatened some football players with a firearm during his time operating in the National Arena League.
Brown had an 11-season stint in the NFL, mostly with the Pittsburgh Steelers, before he managed to win Super Bowl LV with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

But, Brown also experienced a lot of controversy around him and left the league, becoming a co-owner with Albany Empire, who are based in New York.
There, the latest controversy has emerged as Brown is alleged to have threatened players with a gun, according to ESPN.
The Antonio Brown and Albany Empire controversy
The story started with the deletion of a social media post which remembered Mo Ruffins, who died in 2022 at the age of 38.
Albany Empire players asked why there was no tribute to the deceased offensive linesman. As a result, a post remembering Ruffins was made and uploaded online but later deleted, prompting players to question why.
It’s then claimed that players confronted Brown after the team couldn’t get an explanation from the front office. In response, Brown threatened to retrieve an AR from his car.
“AB looked at Ryan Larkin and was like ‘Hey, man, you still got the AR in the car? Go get it’,” Darius Prince, who played for Albany, said to ESPN.
“Then I was like, I’m not going to allow this dude to walk out of here after you just threatened us.”
“After he said that, things did calm down, and we had a conversation. But the fact is that he threatened us by telling his assistant to grab his AR.”

Albany Empire’s other controversies
Albany Empire experienced a series of controversies after Brown joined in an executive role, such as leadership issues, unpaid salaries and teams being ejected from hotels due to unpaid bills.
The absence of money grew to such a scale that the team was eventually kicked out of the National Arena League owing to unpaid fees.
The alleged gun story is just the latest of a list of controversies connected to the NFL team since Brown had joined the organisation.
