Bayern Munich have broken the bank and all their historical records to sign Harry Kane. They have invested 100 million euros in the 30-year-old striker to make the Englishman their new star… and the most expensive signing in the history of the Bavarian club.
Kane leaves Tottenham as their all-time top scorer to make the leap he has been craving for so long.
And it is that the Englishman, despite having records that place him as one of the best strikers of the last decade, has not yet won any trophy… with his move he will aspire to all of that: Bundesliga, DFB Pokal and, of course, the Champions League. The 150m euros Bayern have spent this summer on Kane and Kim Min-jae show their ambition to reign in Europe once again.
After a season ‘orphaned’ by Lewandowski and after the failed signing of Sadio Mane (already at Al Nassr, Saudi Arabia), Bayern have a new striker. He will be fed by one of the great talents in Europe, Jamal Musiala, and by two wingers who can provide many goals: Leroy Sane, Kingsley Coman or Serge Gnabry.
Kane bids farewell to Tottenham fans
The striker wanted to say goodbye to the club he has supported for many seasons: “Thank you to the Tottenham fans. It is sad to say goodbye to a club where I have spent 20 years of my life, since I arrived as an 11-year-old boy. From the moment I made my debut, I have been one of you and I have given everything I could to make you proud of me. I hope those beautiful moments will last forever.”
