Karren Brady is well known as one of Alan Sugar’s most trusted advisors in The Apprentice and it’s fair to say that she is one of Britain’s most influential women.

The 54-year-old joined the BBC hit show in 2010 for the show’s sixth series when she replaced Margaret Mountford. She also appeared as team leader for Comic Relief Does The Apprentice back in 2007. She successfully helped raise more than £750,000 for the charity.

Karren is set to appear on our TV screens tonight, Thursday, February 1, for the new series of The Apprentice. As well as Lord Sugar, she will also be joined by series one winner Tim Campbell, who has been on the show since the 16th season when he replaced Claude Littner after he suffered an injury while cycling.

At the age of just 23, Karren Brady became the first woman in English football to be appointed managing director at Birmingham City. She was appointed by David Sullivan and David Gold.

She’s spoken previously about how she’s encountered sexism in football and how she’s been seen by many as a trailblazer for bringing about change.

Karren Brady was an integral part of the club’s move to the Olympic Stadium – which was subsequently renamed the London Stadium.

Football has been a major part of Karren’s as she met her husband Canadian Paul Peschisolido when he was playing for Birmingham City.

Paul started his career at Canadian Soccer League club Toronto Blizzard before joining Birmingham City in 1992, where he became top goalscorer in each of his two seasons with the club.

Throughout his career, Paul spent 16 seasons in England and played for nine different clubs. After he retired, Paul became manager of Burton Albion in 2009 – a role he had until 2012. The couple, who tied the knot in 1995, have a daughter Sophia and a son called Paolo together.

Model daughter

Following in her mum’s footsteps, Karren’s daughter Sophia is also in the public eye as she works as an Influencer and model.

The 25-year-old kicked off her modelling career in 2017 when she appeared in a Topshop campaign. She has over 340K Instagram followers and her profile is full of glamorous snaps of her jetset life.

She has also partnered with underwear brand Boux Avenue and clothing giant PrettyLittleThing. Sophia repeatedly turned her back on offers from Love Island as she says that she wants to further her career without using a reality TV contract.
