It has been alleged by the attorney of The Blind Side family that Michael Oher asked his family for 15 million dollars so that he would not go public with his claim that the family swindled him.
Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy have been very clear through their legal team that there is no truth to what Oher is claiming. He believes that he was forced into a conservatorship and that the couple made millions from his life story.
The lawyer for the Tuohy family has spoken to TMZ Sports about the case, claiming that Oher is the principle offender who has been trying to get money out of the Tuohy’s by threatening them with negative press.

“Over the years, the Tuohys have given Mr. Oher an equal cut of every penny received from ‘The Blind Side,'” attorney Marty Singer said.
“Even recently, when Mr. Oher started to threaten them about what he would do unless they paid him an eight-figure windfall, and, as part of that shakedown effort refused to cash the small profit checks from the Tuohys, they still deposited Mr. Oher’s equal share into a trust account they set up for his son.”
Singer alleged Oher had been dropped as a client by other lawyers, but “has finally found a willing enabler and filed this ludicrous lawsuit as a cynical attempt to drum up attention in the middle of his latest book tour.”
The lawsuit was filed by the 37-year-old Oher in Shelby County, Tenn., court on Monday. He alleges that he only recently learned he was not fully adopted by the Tuohy’s and that he was signed into a conservatorship.
