A group of boys were robbed at knifepoint after visiting a shopping centre in Sheffield to spend their birthday money.

Last Friday (March 22) police received a call informing them a group of friends had been followed and robbed on Tyler Street in the Wincobank area of the city.

The boys were on the way home from the shopping trip when their leftover cash was stolen. Police say the suspects used a knife to scare the boys into handing over the money.
