He confirmed the split in a brief statement via his team Tuesday.
‘Rory McIlroy’s communications team confirmed today that a divorce has been filed,’ McIlroy’s manager, Sean O’Flaherty, began. ‘They stressed Rory’s desire to ensure this difficult time is as respectful and amicable as possible.’
Court documents filed in Palm Beach County, which were obtained by DailyMail.com, stated that their marriage was ‘irretrievably broken’.
