Burnley vs Everton – Premier League: Live score, team news and updates as Michael Keane doubles Toffees lead on Sean Dyche’s return to Turf Moor

Dominic Calvert-Lewin escapes a yellow card and is very lucky to do so. The Toffees striker smashed into O’Shea while trying to win a header but is only given a warning.

Trafford gets a hand to Garner’s free-kick and Everton have a corner. Not entirely sure the keeper needed to intervene in that one, but the corner comes to nothing.

The corner delivery is brilliant but it evades every Burnley player before falling to Onana who hoofs clear.

The hosts recycle play and Bruun Larsen is again in space on the right-wing. He goes for a shot from a tight angle that is easy for Pickford to grab.

It’s more positive from Burnley as Berge’s driven shot is blocked by a crowd of Everton players. They then win a corner from a Bruun Larsen cross.

Everton also make a change, but this is a forced one for the visitors.

Doucoure has picked up an injury and is pulled off by Sean Dyche with Lewis Dobbin coming on in his place.

We’re backunderway as Burnley make a change with Lyle Foster coming on in place of Rodriguez. That’s his first appearance since Burnley’s defeat against Brentford in October.

Burnley have a huge chance at the end of the half with Amdouni looking set to score a tap-in. Ben Godfrey makes sure he doesn’t get a touch with some brilliant running back towards his goalline.

Everton lead at the interval and largely deservedly so. The Toffees have made the most of their attacks, scoring through Amadou Onana and Michael Keane, while Burnley started brightly but struggled to fashion credible chances.

It’s been a competitive Premier League fixture so far but Burnley need to do more when around Everton’s box. Sean Dyche will be delighted with what he has seen from his side. Vincent Kompany won’t.

The hosts need to improve and quickly becuase the Toffees are cruising at Turf Moor.

Everton look comfortable as we approach half time with their 2-0 lead currently intact. They’re the side that are appearing the most confident with the ball, whereas Burnley continue to look slightly disjointed.

Burnley come forward in search of an equaliser and nearly get it as the ball is passed around Everton’s box and an eventual close-range effort is blocked.

Everton make a breakthrough as Amadou Onana leaps highest in the box to fire his header past Trafford.

The Toffees midfielder won his physical battle in the box and produced a powerful header that was unstoppable. Can Burnley respond?

Everton win successive corners and bundle men into the box but can;t find a breakthrough. Their attacks are rare but getting joy each time.

Everton mount a first attack and get joy with Dwight McNeil nipping in at the back-post. He makes good contact with his header but the ball drifts just wide.

One-way traffic continues to come in Everton’s direction as Burnely recycle the ball well and defend high. Everton shownig signs of of growing.

Bruun Larsen gets in behind Everton’s defence down the right-wing and wins his side a corner. The resulting set-piece is taken short before the ball is then whipped in.

Everton then force the hosts back with some good pressing play on the edge of their area.

The Clarets continue their direct start and win a free-kick just inside Everton’s half. They clip the ball towards the back-post but the Toffees again clear well.

Burnley are managing possession well in the early minutes and largely pinning Everton back into their own half. The Toffees are having to deal with balls into the box but look largely comfortable.
