Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler became the latest player in a laundry list of names who have already missed some time this 2023 NBA season despite being less than a week into the competition. He didn’t seem to care when the Minnesota Timberwolves crowd reminded him of his absence.
Butler, 34, blew kisses at the crowd from the bench as the home fans chanted “where is Jimmy” on Saturday night at Target Center. The former Timberwolves player always enjoys returning to his old stomping grounds.

“Jimmy Buckets” has become a fan-favorite over the past few years due to multiple funny bits such as the now-iconic punk look for media day ahead of this season when he straightened his hair and wore piercings.
Butler (rest) was not the only Heat player to sit out against Minnesota. Kevin Love (shoulder) also missed the contest.
Heat now have a 1-1 record after losing to the Timberwolves (1-1) 90-106 with Tyler Herro scoring a team-high 22 points.
