Caitlin Clark‘s incredible basketball story continues to roll on as she is likely to be selected as the overall first pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft and her potential is so mouthwatering that she is being compared to the iconic Reggie Miller.
Clark heads to the top level of women’s basketball as one of it’s best ever prospects as she holds the outright NCAA record for most points scored, taking it from Pete Maravich, in the same season she broke the women’s record too.

In fact, she’s one of the best shooters in all of basketball, men or women’s, and she posted a sensational average of 31 points per game in 2023/24 proving her lethal talents at sinking buckets and that has seen her likened to Miller, who played 18 seasons in the NBA.
“The fact that she’s coming from Iowa to that market is obviously a great market,” Al Harrington said to TMZ Sports. “I’m sure the WNBA would love for her to be in a bigger market than that, but I think she’s going to thrive.
“It’s like she’s going to be the female Reggie Miller.”
But Harrington doesn’t expect her to find the transition to the WNBA easy by any means, as he thinks she will be a target to the other players who will want to make an example of her and use her to prove they’re better.
“She’s going to be cold [good],” Harrington added. “But I know all the girls in the league are licking their chops to get their hands on her too. They build you up sometimes to tear you down.”
Who is Reggie Miller?
Miller is regarded as one of the greatest shooters in NBA history and he is in the NBA Hall of Fame and he spent his entire 18-year career (1987-2005) with the Indiana Pacers, primarily as a shooting guard.
Miller‘s distinctive playing style was marked by his exceptional three-point shooting, clutch performances, and fierce competitiveness, so it is serious praise.
Miller also ranks as the Pacers‘ all-time leading scorer, with over 25,000 points scored during his career. He consistently ranked among the top scorers in the league, known for his ability to score from beyond the arc as well as his proficiency at drawing fouls and converting free throws.
