Given Caitlin Clark‘s impressive fame and marketability, it was only a matter of time before one of the few major sports apparel companies snatched her up.
On Wednesday, reports came out that Nike is set to sign Clark to a massive deal worth eight figures. Within that contract will be a signature shoe for Clark.

WNBA fans want a signature shoe for A’ja Wilson
While most fans are excited for the upcoming shoe, a subsection of WNBA fans took the opportunity to rant about Clark getting a signature before A’ja Wilson.
It’s a fair question to ponder. Wilson is, quite literally, the best player in the league. And she was the best player in college when she was at South Carolina.
She’s a frequent winner on and off the court. It’s true that Clark has more overall fans at this point, but it’s past time for Wilson to get her due.
The only active WNBA players with a signature shoe at the moment are Breanna Stewart (Puma), Elena Delle Donne (Nike) and Sabrina Ionescu (Nike).
