With a rise in fame comes more of a spotlight. That’s exactly what Jason Kelce has been dealing with since he started a hit podcast with his brother, Travis Kelce.

2023 was expected to be the final season of Jason’s illustrious career, but he has recently left a lot of doubt about whether he will actually retire this offseason. In an interview with the Philadelphia Inquirer, Kelce said “I still want to be involved in the (Philadelphia Eagles) organization“.
Is Jason Kelce going to retire?
That doesn’t sound like a man who is going to retire. But it also doesn’t sound like someone who is 100 percent sure that he’s going to return to the team: “I don’t know what’s going to happen for me“.
While Kelce’s future is up in the air, he has been cheering on his brother’s Kansas City Chiefs during their run to the Super Bowl. Following their win over the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship, Jason was filled with praise for the team.

Could Jason Kelce join the Kansas City Chiefs?
It sounds like Jason would love to play for a team like the Chiefs. Who wouldn’t? But can it actually happen?
Kelce has been signing one-year contract renewals with the Eagles in order to give him and the team flexibility when he decides it’s time to hang up the cleats. That means nothing ties him to the team for the 2024 season.
Now, would the Chiefs want him? Of course, who wouldn’t want a perennial All-Pro center whose quality of play hasn’t fallen off at any point yet. But it’s not quite that simple.

The Chiefs’ interior offensive linemen have been outstanding this season and they’re all under contract for 2024. Kelce would theoretically take Creed Humphrey‘s spot, but Humphrey is one of the best centers in the league and has developed a strong rapport with Patrick Mahomes.
It would be a dream for the Kelce brothers to share the field together on the same team, but it’s up to Kansas City whether they want to fix something that isn’t broken. And up to Jason to make the move if he really wants to.
