During a recent interaction with Fight Hub TV, Berlanga didn’t hold back in dismissing Plant, recalling a heated exchange at the weigh-in for Canelo‘s fight against Munguia.
Berlanga questioned Plant‘s presence and motives, saying, “Why are you here, brother? Canelo knocked you out, Benavidez beat you up, and you want to be on Mexican and Latino territory? You’re just looking for a promotion. You’re looking for influence right now,” he stated.
“You can’t mess with me. If he fights me, I’m going to end his career,” Berlanga threatened.

Furthermore, Berlanga expressed disdain for the idea of facing Plant, whom he considers to be of inferior caliber. He recounted a sparring session from their past when he was only 17 and Plant had a couple of professional fights under his belt.
“I hit him with a body shot and stopped him. He’s nothing,” Berlanga remarked confidently to the camera.
