The NFL world was stunned on Thursday night, when Jay Glazer dropped a bombshell of a trade.
The Los Angeles Chargers shipped out Pro Bowl wide receiver Keenan Allen to Chicago, in return for a Bears’ fourth round pick.
Allen will join D.J. Moore in Chicago, forming one of the best receiving duos in the league. The Bears were in need of more firepower at the wideout position, especially with Darnell Mooney leaving in free agency.
Now, will it be Justin Fields or Caleb Williams throwing to Allen? We’ll find that out over the next few weeks.

What will Chargers do without Keenan Allen?
With Jim Harbaugh now the new head coach, the Chargers appear to be cleaning house, particularly at wide receiver. Mike Williams was released on Wednesday, and now Allen is gone too.
The Chargers now have just four receivers on the roster.
- Josh Palmer
- Quentin Johnston
- Simi Fehoko
- Derius Davis
Palmer is the most experienced of the group in terms of playing time and production, but he’s considered more of a third option. Johnston was a massive disappointment in his rookie season and needs to take a big leap in year two. Davis and Fehoko can’t be relied on for consistent playing time.
This puts Los Angeles in prime position to select a wide receiver at fifth overall. Or for Harbaugh and new offensive coordinator Greg Roman to go extremely run heavy in a fresh offense for Justin Herbert.
