Mother Nature continues to play a significant role in the Buffalo Bills’ postseason.

After the Super Wild Card Weekend win over the Steelers faced a delay due to heavy snowstorms, the upcoming AFC divisional round game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday is now under threat from yet another weather challenge.

More snow headed to Buffalo ahead of Chiefs showdown

Buffalo, known for its harsh winter weather, is under a lake-effect snow warning until Thursday at 7 p.m. ET.

The weather forecast has raised concerns about the team’s ability to access the facility for practices and meetings during the week.

The warning extends to Orchard Park, home to the Bills’ Highmark Stadium, with forecasts suggesting the potential for one to three feet of snow.

Additional storming could escalate the total to over four feet, making it a challenging week for the Bills’ players and coaches.

Patrick Mahomes, accustomed to playing in the comfort of Arrowhead Stadium or neutral sites for the Super Bowl, is set to experience his first true road playoff game in Buffalo.

The defending Super Bowl champions are gearing up for a clash against the Bills in frigid conditions once again after defeating the Miami Dolphins at home in freezing temperature.

Bills have plan to overcome weather challenges

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott remains optimistic and assured the team has a plan in place to navigate the weather challenges.

He stated, “We’ve got a plan in place to make sure we’re getting the players in at the right time, as well as the staff, and trying to be on top of that from a scheduling standpoint.”

The team acknowledged the need for effective communication to ensure readiness despite the unpredictable weather conditions.

The Bills are not only weathering the storm outdoors but also facing significant injuries.

The wild-card round saw key players sidelined, and the team is evaluating the extent of the injuries.

Despite the wounds and the impending weather challenges, McDermott emphasized the team’s resilience, stating, “Our team has fought all season long. We’re not going to stop fighting now.”
