Chris Pratt ‘s Guardians of the Galaxy stuntman Tony McFarr passed away on Monday 

Chris Pratt‘s Guardians of the Galaxy stuntman has died aged just 47. 

Tony McFarr passed away Monday at his home outside Orlando, Florida.

His family say they are yet to learn how he died, but Farr’s mom Donna told TMZ his passing was ‘unexpected and shocking.’

The Orange County Medical Examiner told the outlet that it is running toxicology reports as it investigates the death.

McFarr was a talented stuntman known for his work in Jurassic World, Antman and The Wasp and Darkest Minds among others, stepping into the shoes of some of Hollywood’s biggest names.

McFarr had more than 20 years experience in the entertainment industry according to his Linkedin

An obituary states he is in the care of the Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home. 

On his Instagram, a man claiming to be his nephew posted a tribute under his most recent photo.

‘Rip uncle T im gonna miss you,’ Noah Keez posted. ‘Don’t be doin some outlandish stuff in heaven.’

McFarr stood in for Pratt’s as Star Lord in the popular Marvel Universe franchise movies.

The two first worked together on Jurassic World in 2015. McFarr had more than 20 years experience in the entertainment industry according to his LinkedIn.

His IMDb page lists blockbusters including the Hunger Games, Captain America and Planet of the Apes films among his credits. 

He began his career in 2011 with a stint on the cop drama Bones.

As well as his movie roles, McFarr was a successful restaurateur and owner of Reel Bowls poké bar and The Fit Kitchen. 

Reel Bowls only opened its doors for the first time back in February, according to Instagram posts. 

McFarr was a business graduate of Florida State University and obtained his MBA from LSU Shreveport. 

At the time of his death he was living in a $500,000 four bedroom home.
