Whilst we await Conor McGregor’s return to the octagon following a lengthy lay-off from a gruesome leg fracture, concerns are growing for the mental wellbeing of the Irishman after he displayed some rather unusual patterns of behavior.
He was spotted leaving The Saddle Club in Birkenhead before posting a bizarre voice note to Twitter, although he was also seen hastily leaving the venue.
It transpired that this came just hours after his aunt’s funeral, with McGregor previously posting a number of photos to Instagram in which he was with family members.
Fans were trying to get McGregor‘s attention for selfies and autographs as he left the Liverpool boozer, but he was bundled into a car which was then driven away by a member of his security team.
What followed was a rather unusual voice note in which made nonsensical ramblings about Liverpool.
“Murder, murder? Scousers on the golly,” McGregor shouted in an imitation Liverpool accent.
“Birkenhead is McGregor’s yeah.”
Merseyside Police were called
The Mirror were then informed that Merseyside Police had been called to an incident at The Saddle Club on that night.
“We were called to The Saddle pub in Prenton, Wirral, at 7:30pm last night, Tuesday, July 18, to reports of an altercation,” a police statement read.
Fans of McGregor were concerned as this followed a pattern of unusual behavior from the fighter, as he had recorded a similarly unnerving voice message the previous day.
“The drugs don’t work, they just make you worse, but I know I’ll see your face again,” McGregor sang as he quoted The Verve’s 1997 hit ‘The Drugs Don’t Work’.
