Two people have been apprehended on suspicion of engaging in sexual activities in a children’s play area and a supermarket car park over two consecutive days.

The incidents, which are being investigated by the police in west Wales, allegedly occurred in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. The first incident reportedly took place around 5.45pm on Sunday, May 19, at a play park adjacent to the Morrisons supermarket car park. The following day, another alleged offence occurred in the supermarket car park itself around 3.20pm on Monday, May 20.

Dyfed-Powys Police stated: “In both incidents two people appeared to be engaging in a sexual activity whilst in public”. Images that seem to depict two people having sex in a supermarket car park have been widely shared on social media.

A representative for Dyfed-Powys Police announced: “A 31 year old man and a 41 year old woman have been arrested on suspicion of ‘outraging public decency’ and released on bail pending further police enquiries. Anyone who witnessed the incidents is asked to contact police online, by e-mailing 101@dyfed-powys.police.uk, or by calling 101, quoting crime reference 24000456738.”
