Dak Prescott looks beyond money for his next NFL contract, perhaps suggesting that he wants to remain in Arlington with the Dallas Cowboys, as he insists that being the sport’s highest-paid quarterback isn’t close to being on his agenda.
The 30-year-old’s current deal is up in 2025 and although he hasn’t began negotiating a new deal that’s certainly something that will catch the eye of any dollar-pinching franchise owners in the top level of American Football.

“I’m not trying to be the highest-paid, necessarily,” Prescott said, as per Michael Gehlken. “We’ll wait until negotiations begin, and obviously want to put this team in the best situation.
“I don’t fear either situation, to be candid with you. I love this game and love to play and love to better myself as a player, and my teammates around me.
“Right now it’s with the Dallas Cowboys. It’s where I want to be and it’s where I am and it’s the focus. After the season, we’ll see where we’re at. If the future holds that, yeah, and if not, we’ll go from there.”
Prescott’s fine form in 2023 earned him Most Valuable Player shouts as he threw for 4516 yards with a 69.5% completion rate for 36 touchdowns, whilst his interceptions remained at nine and he was never sacked more than 40 times, as he became the Cowboys‘ star of the season at the AT&T Stadium.
But now into his third decade of life, this could be his final big contract and he’s currently not broke earning a cool, guaranteed $160,000,000 on his current four-year deal, but he won’t go chasing the money unlike some other people might decide to do.

According to APY, Joe Burrow is the highest paid player and the highest paid quarterback in the NFL after signing a $275,000,000 deal with the Cincinnati Bengals to edge out Patrick Mahomes as the richest player in the game.
Burrow‘s five-year deal in Ohio averages out at $55,000,000 per year whilst Mahomes earns $46,000,000 per year, although the Kansas City Chiefs star is on a deal twice the length of what Burrow is on.
