The entire city of Dallas is reeling right now following the Cowboys’ disappointing dismantling at the hands of the Green Bay Packers. Losing a playoff game is one thing, but giving up 48 points at home as the second seed is a whole other problem.
Given the performance, head coach Mike McCarthy has unsurprisingly come under criticism. As has quarterback Dak Prescott, who threw two interceptions, including a pick-six that pushed the deficit to 27 point in the first half.

Are Cowboys players fed up with Dak and McCarthy?
More concerning is that the criticism isn’t coming just from diehard fans and media members: their fellow Cowboy players are calling them out. NFL Network reported Jane Slater revealed some intriguing thoughts coming from anonymous players on the team.
Some players believe the coaching staff was stubborn and that Dak has a tendency to panic in certain situations.
“Another player was frustrated with a stubbornness to stick to schemes on both sides of the ball. Motion offenses killing defenses and concern that Dak panics when the first read is not there.”
It’s not all doom and gloom in Dallas, though. Slater shared several quotes from players who backed McCarthy and Prescott despite the frustrating loss.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones hasn’t given much insight on the future of the team going forward, but he has been quite supportive of both his head coach and quarterback throughout this season.
