It has been 27 years since they last became NFL champions, but the Dallas Cowboys have not been devalued, quite the contrary.

The NFL franchise has been named for the seventh consecutive year as the most valuable sports team in the world.

On Wednesday, Forbes magazine released its ranking of the most valuable teams, which is made up of NFL and NBA franchises in the first 10 positions.

Jerry Jones‘ NFL team, the Cowboys, is by far the number one with a value of nine billion dollars, almost 2bn dollars more than its closest rival, the MLB’s New York Yankees, who are valued at 7.1bn dollars.

The top three is rounded out by the NBA’s Golden State Warriors at 7.0bn dollars, who, thanks to six titles between 2015 and 2022, have increased their value significantly over the past decade.

Here are the rest of the franchises that round out Forbes’ top 10 most valuable teams on the planet:

  2. New York Yankees (MLB): $7.1 billion
  3. Golden State Warriors (NBA): $7.0 billion
  4. New England Patriots (NFL): $7.0 billion
  5. Los Angeles Rams (NFL): $6.9 billion
  6. New York Giants (NFL): $6.8 billion
  7. Chicago Bears (NFL): $6.3 billion
  8. Las Vegas Raiders (NFL): $6.2 billion
  9. New York Knicks (NBA): $6.1 billion
  10. New York Jets (NFL): $6.1 billion

Soccer and the highest-ranked team on the list

As far as soccer is concerned, Real Madrid are the highest ranked team at No.11 with a value of 6.70bn dollars.

Manchester United rank 13th (6.0bn dollars), Barcelona 18th (5.5bn dollars) and Liverpool 20th (5.3bn dollars).

F1 is also present on the list

Finally, Formula 1, the top motor racing championship, managed to sneak into the Top 50 with two of their teams, Ferrari and Mercedes.

The Italians occupy the 45th place (3.9b dollars), while the Germans are in 47th place (3.8bn dollars).
